Essex Junction Recreation & Parks (EJRP) is seeking an enthusiastic, multitalented, hard-working, and fun rec professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in recreation programs, coordinating community events, providing leadership of our outdoor pool, and managing community gardens. This position will facilitate all aspects of these initiatives, from development to marketing, budgeting, hiring, training, implementing, supervising, and evaluating. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, put the needs of the community first, and be eager to learn and grow. Previous aquatics experience will be valuable for overseeing our busy outdoor pool and swim lessons for the 11 weeks of summer. Workdays and hours vary. Must have a BA or BS in recreation or a related field, and at least two years’ experience working in the recreation industry. CPRP desired or expected to be obtained within one year of hire. Starting salary minimum $50K, commensurate with experience. Excellent health, dental, retirement benefits, tuition reimbursement, and paid leave.
